SDRs and AEs are working hard to personalize their message to prospects. Like the commercial says, “What better way to say I love you than with flowers.” Everyone loves to get something special in the mail.
If you’re going to send a gift, follow these tips:
- Make it relevant and personal - Do some research on your prospect or customer to learn how they spend their free time and tie a gift to their hobby or passion.
- Attach a personal note. This isn’t the time for a sales pitch or to ask for something in return! Be altruistic.
- Don’t overspend. $10- $25 is plenty to let them know you’re interesting is building a relationship.
